Twisters and Testimonies

Hello!!!! This week was really good! We had exchanges and so I got to be with Sister Lamb for a day to learn and grow from her. It was so great! Well, many good things happened this week. Here's a few. 1. Imminent Tornado Warning To make a long story short. We had an imminent tornado warning and the Raphaels told us to join them in the laundry room(safest room). So, I grabbed my scriptures and a water bottle and we went in. I wasn't too worried because I've been in a few warnings. However, we were in the laundry room together and about 10 mins in we hear things rustling outside. Loud rustling. Then, the power went out. (So...at this point, we're all a little on edge but trusting Heavenly Father. ) We stayed in the laundry room unitil the warning time ran out and then we all looked outside. The sky was a tan color and kind of eery. Brother and Sister Raphael went outside to assess the damage. We followed and found that half of the front big tree had fallen, two back tree...

Sweat & Blessings

Hey Y'all!  This week has been amazing! I got to talk to my lovely family which was the best part of my week. We received some referrals this week from some members and some of them we are starting to teach! We had a woman come to church that was a non-member! She's fabulous and we are going to hopefully start teaching her about the gospel! We've had rainy days this week, and blazing hot days! Haha. Overall, this week has been pretty great! We also had exchanges and it was so fun to learn from the other sisters! We found a few new people to teach and are just working and sweating and working and sweating some more. :)  Hand of the Lord:  There's so many things and times that I have seen the hand of the Lord. Here's one example. I was trying to find a scripture to share with President Stone for an interview and I knew what I wanted to say but I didn't have a scripture picked out. I prayed and immediately turned to a scripture. It was exactly what I wanted...

Snakes and Storms

Hey Y'all!!! This week has been SUPER!!! Here's some highlights: First, we received a few referrals from the members this week which was so wonderful! We've given out a few Book of Mormon's which is always so great! It was really cool because a nine year old member had us come with her and she gave out a Book of Mormon to her friend. She wrote her testimony in it too! We were able to talk to the friend and his family! It was really cool to be a part of her sharing the gospel and going forth with faith! She came and got us and said, "Are you ready to knock a door?" It was super cute! She really understands Elder Uchtdorf's message of, " Every member a missionary!" That's the message I wanted to invite you to do. We are all missionaries! A missionary is defined by Elder Bednar as, "A follower of Christ who testifies of Him as the Redeemer and proclaims the truths of the gospel." So, I would invite y'all to be missionarie...

What You Can Become

Hey Y'all!!!! This week has been good. I was a little under the weather for a few days but I am doing well now! I wanted to switch things up and share what I've learned this week.  "Be your best self" President Stone has taught me a lot! One thing he's shared is that all missionaries are different. We come from different backgrounds, we've had different experiences, etc. But, we all have the same purpose as missionaries to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel." One thing I love is that we were all called here to this mission to help people. And, Heavenly Father wants and need all of our different personalities, traits, experiences, et. He wants us to be ourselves out here. But, he wants us to be our best versions of ourselves. I think the same could be said of any member of the church. Heavenly Father still wants us to make choices and be ourselves. But, He wants us to be the best version of ourselv...
