Hey Friends and Family, I don't have much to say this week. Sabina was baptized this week! It was wonderful! It's great to see her grow! I learned this week that there really is opposition in all things. At Sabina's baptism we got a text from Angelina. She said that her and her girls wouldn't be able to be baptized due to some family issues. We immediately went over to her house and talked with her. As of right now, their baptisms are off. That was really hard. We are still teaching them so that one day, when the time is right, they will be baptized. Satan was really working on me this week. I thought that once I left on my mission he wouldn't touch me. (Y'all are probably laughing at that one.) Haha, I was SO wrong. Satan really tried to get me down. In fact, I was feeling not so great on Monday. So, I asked for a priesthood blessing. It continues to amaze me at how Heavenly Father understands ALL of my problems. He is ALWAYS there to lift me up ...

Give it to God

Hi Family and Friends!!! This week has been one to remember. I can't even believe all the miracles that have happened in the last 7 days here in Hopkinsville and Oak Grove.  Here's a few things that happened that made me just leap for joy and give thanks to my Heavenly Father.  1. Sister Coles and I have been teaching Angelina and her girls for the past few months. They are the ones that we took off date for baptim last week because they haven't been making it to church. I was really sad that they weren't progressing anymore and had been praying that they'd accept the gospel. Well, Sister Coles and I were in Sacrament meeting when we got a text from them saying they were coming, just a little late. We were so happy!!! They came in the middle of a raging storm to the church. They stayed for all of church and are now back on date for baptism! I was so full of joy to see them. I was reminded yet again that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of his children. ...

Pray with Real Intent

Hi Family and Friends! This week has been a roller coaster! I'm not gonna lie, this  week was really rough. Angelina and her girls haven't been coming to church and they can't be baptized because they're not coming to church. So, we had to take them off date for baptism. It's been a little hard because they know everything. We asked them the baptismal interview questions and they all know them. They read the Book of Mormon and pray everyday but won't come to church... Anyway, the lesson I've learned from them is that everything is REALLY in Heavenly Father's timing. He has a plan for them. He won't take away their agency( even when they aren't making the best choices). He takes what we give him and makes it better. He helps us learn and grow. It's been hard to see them and other people progress and then just stop. But, I have to remember that it's not my timing, it's his.  On a brighter note. I had some cool things happen this...

Pray, Trust & Act

Hi Family and Friends! Happy 4th of July!! At this time I am full of joy and appreciation for my Heavenly Father and my country.  I just wanted to share a few things that happened this week.  1.) Sabina said yes to baptism! She is wonderful! She referred herself for a Bible 2 weeks ago and has been to church every week. She's truly been prepared to accept the gospel.  2.) Angelina, and her girls didn't make it to church. I was devasted. The talks were just what they needed to hear. Sister Coles and I were so sad they didn't show up. I was doubting if they'd still be ready for their baptisms. I didn't know what to do. We pushsed their date back and went over to their house. Sister Coles and I were praying that we'd know how to help them. We trusted that Heavenly Father would help them after all we can do. We talked to them about baptism and the importance of church attendance. They all committed to come to church this week. When we got back to the ca...
