Sister Stone: Tennessee, Nashville Mission

Hello Family and Friends, A few highlights of the week: -Alex and Brandon Wilke told us how we basically changed their lives. (The Elders found the Wilkes when they were looking for a YSA. However, they are in our area so they passed them off to us.) Alex said that when the Elders taught them they felt the spirit but when we started teaching them, we helped them progress and feel the spirit. She said that the things we said were what she needed to hear and in a way that she needed to hear it. She said she was really glad that we were the ones able to teach her and Brandon. Brandon also said how he noticed that they'd have questions and the questions they had were just what we were going to teach them. He said he knew that he could receive personal revelation.  It was a testimony builder that we as missionaries are called to a place where there's people that only we can affect. She and Brandon are still on date for  May 5th  for their baptism and they're really excite...

Hello Family and Friends!!! This week has been so great!! President Stone called a mission wide bike day. So, yesterday Sister Henley and I rode our bikes all day! It was so great! It was 70 degrees and we talked to everyone that was out. However, I also realized that my body hates biking. We biked 11.9 miles and lets just say today has been rough...  This week the Wilkes (the investigators we've been teaching for 2 months) are on date for baptism!! The Elders found them but they were in our area so they handed them off. They are so wonderful and strong. They've been reading the Book of Mormon daily. Alex told us how she has always felt something when we taught her and how she's been happier lately. Her husband told us he's noticed the change in both of them as well. Hey Family and Friends!! This week has been really great! We have this younger couple (the Wilkes) we've been teaching come to church this week which was really amazing! We've been teaching them since Feb. They are both progressing so much and I can just see their testimonies growing! This week I really wanted to express my appreciation for the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is powerful! If you want someone to feel the spirit you need to have them read out of the Book of Mormon! I wanted to share a story from this week about the power of the Book of Mormon. So about a month ago we got a referral from a woman named Dianna. She referred herself for a Book of Mormon. We went over a few times and she wasn't home. Finally, about the 4th time, she was home and we were able to teach her the Restoration and give her a copy of the Book of Mormon. This week has just been amazing!   To start off with something funny... Yesterday Sis Henley and I were out finding and we were joking about what we would do if there was a tornado. The sky was really ominous at the time. Well, we were talking to a family when they said, "You know we are on a tornado watch right now, right?" We looked at each other and laughed at our stupidity.  We immediately went home and beat the storm. We then sat in the bathroom for 3 hours while a raging storm passed. But, it all ended well:)     This week was also stellar because I got to watch General Conference!! Not only did I get to listen and watch General Conference, but I got to watch one of the sessions with 2 investigators! Before conference I wrote down a lot of questions. Well, I'm happy to say that ALL of those questions were answered during conference! Isn't it amazing that we can all receive our individual answers to questions from a world-wide broadcast?!
