Eating raccoon... almost.

Image
So.. first things first, I don't have a weekly email to send this week because we went to the Nashville Temple. I do have some pictures though. SORRY!!! Here's some great pictures:) I love you though!! Also, I almost ate raccoon....the picture shows how that happened. Sorry I don't have a lot of time today! Love ya -Sister Stone Here’s an excerpt from her email to the family...  The speaker ahead of me went 15 minutes over. So, I had 5-7 minutes to give my talk. I was waiting to give my talk and the Holy Ghost told me I needed to speak on something else. I was like. WHAT?! So, I said a quick prayer and said, "Heavenly Father, you've got to help me out, because I have no idea what I'm supposed to say. I said I'm trusting you, so help me say what you need me to say." Then, I went up to speak and gave a 10 minute talk without using any of my notes. I relied completely on the Holy Ghost. I don't even remember most of what I said. But, I spoke ...

Tracting in the Rain #WeFoundJesus

Hi Family and Friends!! This week has been stellar! We've been out finding people all week, and it's been great! We were out walking/tracting (knocking on doors) and were probably a half mile away from our car when the clouds just let loose. Needless to say, by the time we got back, it looked like we had just jumped in a pool. It was awesome!  In that same neighborhood we went up to a door and read a sign that said, "No Solicitors, We found Jesus, We don't want girls scout cookies, We already have a security system and Our computer is running fine."  So, then we knocked anyway. It was a wild experience after that. The man that answered the door was probably 6 feet plus and was less than pleased to talk with us. But, all is well. He will find Jesus in a later time. :) But on the bright side, we had one investigator come to church, we gave out 4 Book of Mormons. We have 6 investigators planning on coming to church this week, and guess who the speaker is.....n...

Hey Family and Friends!  It's definitely been an exciting week as I was able to talk with my sweet family on Mother's Day! What else is crazy is that I am training a new missionary! I was a little terrified when my mission president asked if I would train a new missionary. I am now at peace and even enjoying being a trainer. The Holy Ghost continues to comfort me through the times of stress. I know that I am not a perfect trainer, and I don't know how to do a lot of things. But, I know that Heavenly Father trusts me to train Sister Coles and that he qualifies those He calls. I know that as I am meek, humble and lowly of heart I will succeed and help Sister Coles turn into the missionary the Lord needs her to be.My awesome companion/trainee is Sister Coles from Idaho! She's been in the mission field for a week now and is doing great! I enjoy the help and love my Heavenly Father continues to give me! I know that as Proverbs 3:5-7 and D&C  11:12  say that as we tr...

Baptism!

Image
Hi Friends and Family!!!  First, Happy Mothers Day on Sunday! This week has just flown by! Alex and Brandon Wilke were baptized on Saturday!  It was a great day followed by a great fast and testimony meeting. I almost died when Brandon Wilke turned to me and said (during testimony meeting), "I guess it's my turn to go up." He then walked up and bore a great testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel and how we can all receive personal revelation. I see the light and joy that this gospel brings to others everyday of my mission!  So I got some exciting news yesterday! I've been asked to train a new missionary! I was a little nervous but I'm mostly excited! I know that I can do it with Heavenly Father's help! I'm sure gonna need it! But, I know just as Nephi did that "the Lord giveth no commandment (or training assignment) unto the children of man, save he shall prepare a way for them to accomplish the thing which he hath commanded them".  I know ...

Hey family and friends!! This week has been another great week! I'm excited for Alex and Brandon's baptism this Saturday !!! They are so ready and so excited! The weather is starting to get warmer/hot. This week it's been in the upper 80's. That might not sound hot, but if you ask the Whites or the Williams they'll attest that humidity makes a difference of how hot it is. We've also been doing a lot of finding this week! I've really enjoyed it! Here's a cool finding story. So we had found this young couple walking on the river walk last week. We had tried to get in contact with them but they were moving and so it was difficult to find/contact them. We had tried repeatedly. However, on Friday  we were out on the other side of town for a lesson walking, when we ran into none other than the young couple. They were moving in right next to a less active member.  It was really cool to see them again! We ended up meeting the young father's mother too! It w...
