Judge Not....
Hey family and friends!!
This week has been another great week! I'm excited for Alex and Brandon's baptism this Saturday!!! They are so ready and so excited! The weather is starting to get warmer/hot. This week it's been in the upper 80's. That might not sound hot, but if you ask the Whites or the Williams they'll attest that humidity makes a difference of how hot it is. We've also been doing a lot of finding this week! I've really enjoyed it! Here's a cool finding story. So we had found this young couple walking on the river walk last week. We had tried to get in contact with them but they were moving and so it was difficult to find/contact them. We had tried repeatedly. However, on Friday we were out on the other side of town for a lesson walking, when we ran into none other than the young couple. They were moving in right next to a less active member. It was really cool to see them again! We ended up meeting the young father's mother too! It was super cool!
Lately we've been really trying to get investigators to church. Those of you that have served missions know how difficult that can be. Well, I've been trying to figure out why most investigators don't want to go to church or say they'll come and then don't. This is what I've found. We meet a lot of people who have told us that they are afriad to go to church because they think that people will judge them based off of appearance or living situations, etc. This has caused me to reflect on if I'm inwardly judging someone. To quote Elder Holland, "Don't you dare pass judgement on who deserves this gospel!" (said with fire to singe your eyebrows) :)
I really want to remind y'all to always show Christlike love and charity to those around you no matter who they are or what they're going through. That is something that I'm trying to work on as well, a Christlike mindset. Well, what is a Christlike mindset? I defined it as seeing others as Jesus would and recognizing their divine potential. I'm going to keep striving to have a Christlike mindset and show charity and love to everyone! I encourage y'all to do the same. I truly love each of ya! I love hearing from you! I love this gospel and know that this church is true. I love y'all!!
