Hi Family and Friends!!! It's been another wonderful wet week here in the Tennessee Nashville Mission! It's been so good!  Here's a few highlights: Church and I I had the lovely opportunity to give a 15 min. talk on Sunday. You'd think that since you talk to people all day as a missionary that you wouldn't get nervous speaking in public. Well, that is not correct. I was so shaky! Haha. However, I know the Spirit was with me/holding me up. It was nice because a few less actives came that day and one said that my talk helped him. So, I was happy about that! Rain...Rain...and More Rain... So here in Tennessee it rains A LOT!! We've been wet periodically throughout the week but thankfully we've had a lot of lessons to teach to keep us out of the rain for the most part. We did have a pretty cold day on Sunday though. The rain on our car froze as it was 15 degrees that morning. However, there wasn't too much ice as it warmed up real quick. So...

Exchanges

Hello Family and Friends!!!! Well, first off. I GET TO STAY IN FAYETTEVILLE!!!! WAHOO!!! We didn't get transfer calls until 9:30 last night and were so anxious. However, we don't have to worry now! I'm so pumped to stay with Sister DeGraw another 6 weeks!!! I will continue the assignment of a Sister Training Leader here. Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER DEGRAW!!! (It's today people! She accepts cards, letters, gift cards, etc...) Haha! She only paid me a small fortune to say that. ;) Also, a good pal of mine leaves to the MTC today! You're going to do great Elder Buck!  Now for this week. As a Sister Training Leader or STL we go on what we call exhanges. An exchange is where we switch companions for 24 hours to learn from other sisters and help each other grow. This week I was able to go on 2 exchanges with the sisters in my zone! It was a busy week! But, so good!  I was with Hermana Hutchinson for the first exchange! She's so sweet! And, she speaks Spanish...

Referrals and the hand of the Lord

Image
Hi Family and Friends! This week has been so good! I don't have much to say as it's been a pretty average week. I don't have much to tell. We had exchanges with the Manchester sisters so I was able to be with Sister Taylor for a day. It was so fun to be with her and learn from her! I'm back now with my lovely companion, Sister DeGraw! She's so great as well! I'm so blessed on the companion department.  I do have one experience that happened this week... This week I saw the hand of the Lord in answering my prayers. I had prayed in my morning prayer for help in listening to the Spirit and for help in talking to everyone. Later that day we went out and felt prompted to try a referral from a member. So, we changed our plans and went to try her. She wasn't interested, however we felt prompted to ask the woman for referrals in her area. She happily referred her neighbor across the street. After talking with her we decided to change our plans again, and...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Family and Friends!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR Here's a few highlights from this week! Finding This week we did a lot of knocking on doors. And, we had a few referals come our way. It was really cool. We decided to knock around the house of a referal. We didn't feel like it was the right time the first time we were in the area. However, we went back later that day and ended up finding a few new people to teach and a few potential people. I know that when we go out knowing that Heavenly Father has prepared the people, we will find them. Or, they will find us. We have to have faith, and go out and work. When we do that, there are always people to teach. :) Church Canceled... Here in Tennessee it RAINS! Well, this past week it rained A LOT!!! It rained so much that our church flooded. So, Saturday night, we got a phone call saying that church was canceled due to water damage. We were shocked! We let the people we're teaching know. Luckily, we were able to go to the neares...
