One Year Out. Check.

Hi Family and Friends!!!
It's been another wonderful wet week here in the Tennessee Nashville Mission! It's been so good!

Here's a few highlights:

Church and I
I had the lovely opportunity to give a 15 min. talk on Sunday. You'd think that since you talk to people all day as a missionary that you wouldn't get nervous speaking in public. Well, that is not correct. I was so shaky! Haha. However, I know the Spirit was with me/holding me up. It was nice because a few less actives came that day and one said that my talk helped him. So, I was happy about that!

Rain...Rain...and More Rain...
So here in Tennessee it rains A LOT!! We've been wet periodically throughout the week but thankfully we've had a lot of lessons to teach to keep us out of the rain for the most part. We did have a pretty cold day on Sunday though. The rain on our car froze as it was 15 degrees that morning. However, there wasn't too much ice as it warmed up real quick. So, Sister DeGraw and I were happy about that!

MLC
I attended the Missionary Leadership Council last week in Nashville and learned so much. I also saw my trainer, Sister Henley and my good pal Sister Coles who I trained. (Well, Heavenly Father did all of that) :)It was like a good 'ole family reunion. I saw many other dear friends/servants of the Lord.

A text and a call
We had some opposition this week. Well, we have that everyday! We had 2 people we're teaching text us and say that they weren't interested anymore. So, that was sad. However, about an hour after they texted us, we got a call from a person we weren't sure was interested. We ended up talking on the phone with him for 25 mins answering all his questions (which happened to be about the whole Restoration)! It was really cool!

I am so grateful to be a servant of the Lord at the time! It's so amazing! It's definitely hard, but that's just to help us grow. There's a quote about that in conference, "Along with the bright colors of happiness and joy, the darker-colored threads of trial and tragedy are woven deeply into the fabric of our Father’s plan. These struggles, although difficult, often become our greatest teachers." Elder Andersen said that. I could have pages of tender mercies and miracles I see out here. However, I know you know that God's Hand is everywhere. We just have to open our eyes to see it. Then, when we do, give thanks. :) My challenge for y'all is to do just that. Look for the Hand of the Lord in your life. And, give thanks. I know that as I've done this I have truly been happier and have seen His hand in all things. I know that you will be blessed by doing it as well. But, don't take my word for it. Try it out. Let me know how it goes. :)

I sure love y'all! I hope y'all have a great week!

Love,
Sister Stone
Oh Yeah, I hit my year mark tomorrow! Wow, time sure flies!
