Howdy Family and Friends! This week has flown by! Thanksgiving was SO good! I had many memorable experiences there. I ate so much good food! We had 2 dinners! They were delicious! And, we were able to take some food home as well!  I don't have much time but here's a highlight from this week: Exchanges I was able to go on exchanges with Hermana Rindlisbacher. It was such a great opportunity for me to learn. She is such a sweet hermana. We had a few contact attempts. We had one contact where this man answered and Hermana R and I didn't really think he was that interested. However, he let us talk to him about the Book of Mormon. We bore our testimonies and read with him. The Spirit was there and Hermana Rindlisbacher invited him to church. He was actually super interested. He said he wanted to go to church and learn more. It was only a 15 minute lesson but it was so powerful. I know that the Spirit will always testify of truth. We just have to be willing to open ...

Baptisms and Snakes

Hey Y'all!!! I had to start at least one email with that! :) This week was such a wild yet wonderful week! Let me explain my title.  First, Baptism!  Missionaries have been teaching Eli for a while. He is the cutest little 8 year old boy you've ever seen! I was fortunate to be able to teach him with Sister DeGraw and be a small part of him getting ready for baptism. He was baptized on Sunday and received the gift of the Holy Ghost! I am so proud of his decision. It was so cute, the morning of his baptism he said, "I'm so excited! and I can't believe I'm finally getting baptized!" He is SO adorable. He was a little bummed that he isn't 12 because he wants to go to the temple immediately. He has plans to go to the temple at 12 and get married at 20. That's what he told us! Haha. I love that kid.  Second, Snakes...... So, I wouldn't say I'm afraid of snakes. Yet, we're not exactly the best of friends. And, you know what, ...

Phone calls from Heaven?

Good afternoon Family and Friends!!! This week was quite the week!  Here's a few highlights from the week! This first one should explain the title. Sister DeGraw and I had this person that had been formerly taught by missionaries in mind that we wanted to go see. We had pushed him off for a day or so and were finally able to plan a time to see him. So, we drove over to what we thought was his house and parked. We said a prayer and still weren't sure that house was his. But, we felt good about it and walked up and knocked. A man answered and we asked if it was the man we were looking for. He said it was. We started talking to him and about 5 minutes in, he apologized for missing our appointment the day before. Sister DeGraw and I looked at each other confused (as we had never talked or met this man before) We thought he thought we were someone else. But, we decided to play it off like we knew what he was talking about. Then, later in the conversation he brought it up a...
