HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here's a few highlights from this week!

Finding

This week we did a lot of knocking on doors. And, we had a few referals come our way. It was really cool. We decided to knock around the house of a referal. We didn't feel like it was the right time the first time we were in the area. However, we went back later that day and ended up finding a few new people to teach and a few potential people. I know that when we go out knowing that Heavenly Father has prepared the people, we will find them. Or, they will find us. We have to have faith, and go out and work. When we do that, there are always people to teach. :)

Church Canceled...

Here in Tennessee it RAINS! Well, this past week it rained A LOT!!! It rained so much that our church flooded. So, Saturday night, we got a phone call saying that church was canceled due to water damage. We were shocked! We let the people we're teaching know. Luckily, we were able to go to the nearest church building to take the sacrament. And, they were able to fix the church up so that it is good to go for this week! It was quite the adventure. 

New Years

This week was New Years! What a great time to reflect on the past year and to set goals for this year! I spent almost all of 2018 out here as a missionary and I've enjoyed every minute of it! Well, some minutes have more joy than others... :) However, I've grateful for the opportunity I have to be a full time servant of the Lord. And with that, the opportunity I have to become an even better tool in His hands. I've found some things that I want to do better and have set some plans to help me accomplish those goals. And, the most important part, I've started to act on those plans. What good is a goal or plan if we don't take action on it? And, continue taking action? 

 

My challenge for y'all is to make a goal or two for the year. Then, make specific plans to accomplish your goal(s). I know that as you do this, you will be able to truly grow, continually. 

I know that this gospel is true. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to keep growing and not just stop. I know that He has a plan for us. We must be willing to adapt our plan to His. I know He knows us personally and knows who we can become. What a great time to be a member of His church!
