Referrals and the hand of the Lord
Hi Family and Friends!
This week has been so good! I don't have much to say as it's been a pretty average week. I don't have much to tell. We had exchanges with the Manchester sisters so I was able to be with Sister Taylor for a day. It was so fun to be with her and learn from her! I'm back now with my lovely companion, Sister DeGraw! She's so great as well! I'm so blessed on the companion department.
I do have one experience that happened this week...
This week I saw the hand of the Lord in answering my prayers. I had prayed in my morning prayer for help in listening to the Spirit and for help in talking to everyone. Later that day we went out and felt prompted to try a referral from a member. So, we changed our plans and went to try her. She wasn't interested, however we felt prompted to ask the woman for referrals in her area. She happily referred her neighbor across the street. After talking with her we decided to change our plans again, and go talk to her neighbor. It turns out that her neighbor had recently moved there and wasn't attending a church but was looking for one. We talked with him for a few minutes about church and our purpose as missionaries. We invited him to church, and set up a return appointment. He just told us that he will be at church this Sunday.
I know that because we listened to the Spirit and contacted the woman and asked for referrals from her, we were able to find someone that Heavenly Father had prepared. It was interesting because right after we talked to him and a few of his neighbors, he had to go to work. If we hadn't talked to him then, we might not of caught him home. Heavenly Father is sure good.
Well, that's really it. I just can't believe that it's already 2019!! Where does the time go? We are still finding, teaching a few, and enjoying the sunny weather. I love the people here. I love the gospel! I love 2 hour church! Now, we have that extra hour to find, teach and baptize converts here in the Tennessee Nashville Mission! Wow! We are sure blessed! I hope y'all have a great week!
Love,
Sister Madeline Stone
