A Few Highlights...
Hello Family and Friends,
A few highlights of the week:
A few highlights of the week:
-Alex and Brandon Wilke told us how we basically changed their lives. (The Elders found the Wilkes when they were looking for a YSA. However, they are in our area so they passed them off to us.) Alex said that when the Elders taught them they felt the spirit but when we started teaching them, we helped them progress and feel the spirit. She said that the things we said were what she needed to hear and in a way that she needed to hear it. She said she was really glad that we were the ones able to teach her and Brandon. Brandon also said how he noticed that they'd have questions and the questions they had were just what we were going to teach them. He said he knew that he could receive personal revelation. It was a testimony builder that we as missionaries are called to a place where there's people that only we can affect. She and Brandon are still on date for May 5th for their baptism and they're really excited!
-We gave an impromptu church tour. Last week at the end of P-day the Elders saw this girl parked in the church parking lot and asked if she wanted a quick tour. They had met her a few days before at the gas station. However, the Elders were playing Rugby so they asked us (Hopkinsville and Sango sisters) to give the tour. So, we gave her a tour in our regular p-day clothes. She really liked it and felt the spirit. When we told her church was 3 hours, she just smiled and said how she was excited to go. Now, she is on date for baptism! It's awesome!
-Ward Council. This week we had ward council and really told them how we are here to strengthen the ward but we need their help to progress. After talking with them, we have had 3 families offer to have lessons with our investigators at their house and to feed us. We have a meal every day this week too. The ward really took what we said and acted on it! We have a good ward here!
My challenge: Go over President Nelson's talk on receiving personal revelation. Start praying on how YOU can receive personal revelation. Write down your thoughts and feelings as you do this. I know that we can all receive personal revelation. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and is watching over us. He knows us individually!
Love,
Sister Stone
