Snakes and Storms

Hey Y'all!!!
This week has been SUPER!!!

Here's some highlights:

First, we received a few referrals from the members this week which was so wonderful! We've given out a few Book of Mormon's which is always so great! It was really cool because a nine year old member had us come with her and she gave out a Book of Mormon to her friend. She wrote her testimony in it too! We were able to talk to the friend and his family! It was really cool to be a part of her sharing the gospel and going forth with faith! She came and got us and said, "Are you ready to knock a door?" It was super cute! She really understands Elder Uchtdorf's message of, " Every member a missionary!" That's the message I wanted to invite you to do. We are all missionaries! A missionary is defined by Elder Bednar as, "A follower of Christ who testifies of Him as the Redeemer and proclaims the truths of the gospel." So, I would invite y'all to be missionaries! We all know how the gospel blesses us and everyone needs it. There is true joy in sharing the gospel with those around us. I see it everyday! I know that this work is true!

Funny story:
We were riding our bikes to go finding in a certain area and we were going up this hill and BAM! There was a snake!!!! A big black and blue snake coiled up on the road. I nearly hit it with my bike! Sister Thueson saw it as well! About an hour later, we were talking with a less-active on the porch who didn't really want to talk about the church. Well, right as we were leaving the ocean came out through the sky! We were 2 miles away and our bikes were in the street that was now a flowing river. So, we picked up our helmets and put them on. It was equivelant to dumping a bucket of water on our heads. And, we rode on. A normal person would've probably started crying. But, we were just SO happy to be sharing the gospel! It was cool though because when we were riding back in the rain, we looked in front of us and saw the Blue Angels flying in formation! It was super cool! They flew around here for a few days practicing for their air show. I was driving in town and looked over and a hundred feet away from me was a flying Blue Angel jet!!! It was pretty cool!

I know this church is true! I'm so blessed to be a missionary for the Lord's church! I'm grateful for my sweet companion, Sister Thueson! She's such a great example to me of Christlike love! And, I'm grateful for my sweet family! Happy Father's Day Y'all!

Love,
Sister Stone
