Match Made in Heaven

Hey y'all!!

This week has been so amazing!! I got my lovely new companion, Sister Thueson! When we went in to see the new missionaries and I saw Sister Thueson, I just knew I had to be her companion. I was seriously like praying/hoping it was her. President Stone read off who companions were and I was the last one called and low and behold, it was SISTER THUESON AS MY COMPANION!!!! It was seriously a match made in Heaven!!

Besides having the greatest new missionary as my companion here's a few highlights:

Referrals
We went and met with our Bishop and he gave us 3 referrals!!! It was so sweet!!! And, another member gave us 2 referrals as well! It's been so good! We've contacted most of them and so far there's a few potential people to teach. :) And, we love teaching!

So, all you members out there, think of who you know that needs the gospel...(everyone you know that's not a member of the church). Talk to these people. Have gospel conversations with them. It's not awkward unless you make it awkward. Now some of you might be saying, "Well Sister Stone, you're a missionary. It's harder for us." Now, to those of you thinking that right now- Remember, we're all missionaries. And, no one said sharing the gospel is easy. It's really not. But, when we share the gospel with those around us we are blessed with divine heavenly joy. A joy that comes from sharing a testimony, inviting someone to church, talking about a gospel principle, "being an example to the believers", inviting someone to an activity, serving someone, etc. A wise apostle talking to some members said, "It's not our job to determine who's "ready" for the gospel. It's our job to invite and help." That was paraphrased. But, it's so true. Don't be scared of the missionaries. We're normal people that are just really happy because we are sharing what we love with those around us. If you aren't feeling happy, share the gospel. It's the quickest way to turn a frown upside down. This is my challenge for y'all. As Elder Uchtdorf said, " I am asking that you “stand as witnesses” of the power of the gospel at all times—and when necessary, use words."

We've met a whole bunch of good people!
We also had a lesson with a part-member family and it's been so cool to see them change as they read the Book of Mormon and pray. I know that doing the "small and simple" things really do bring about great things. I know this work is true. This is God's one and only true church! He loves us! He wants ALL of His children to come back to Him! But, He needs our help. We can do this! Y'all are great!!!

Love,
Sister Madeline Stone

New Companion!

The Wilkes went through the temple and were sealed this week! It was such a happy day and I was so blessed to be there! I sure love them! I can't believe it's been just over a year since their baptism!
