It is True, Y'all!
This week has been amazing! I don't have much time but I wanted to share a cool experience that I had.
Sister Hightower and I were together for the day on Monday as our companions were at MLC (Missionary Leadership Council). We were trying a few former person that was taught and after we had some time so we decided to knock a few doors. Sister Hightower pointed us to an apartment complex and we started knocking. No one was really interested but we kept knocking. We knocked on this one door and the person inside yelled, "Who is it?" We said, "It's the missionaries!" The person said, "who?" They were very confused. We heard the person come to the door and then this huge 6'3" man opened it. We were caught off guard. This is the moment we heavily relied on the Spirit. I opened my mouth and started talking about how we have a living prophet. He was really interested in that. We ended up talking to him for 10 minutes about the prophet and the Book of Mormon. Sister Hightower read a verse out of the Book of Mormon and it hit the man really deep. He asked us where he could get a copy of the Book. So, we were like well we have one right here! We gave him a copy. He then started asking why we were here on Earth. So, we gave him a Plan of Salvation pamphlet and talked to him. It was incredible because then he told us he was actually from Georgia and was literally going back in an hour! He said he knew that God sent us to him, and that he was going to read the Book of Mormon on the bus ride to Georgia. We asked if we could send the missionaries to him in Georgia and he said he would love that. So, we sent the information to the missionaries in his area! It was so cool! I'm so happy!
I love being a missionary! I know that this is God's church. Heavenly Father loves us and that's why he gave us families. I know that we can be with our
families forever. I sure love my family and am grateful for them. I know that when we live the gospel it can bring us closer together as a family and strengthen us against Satan. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is powerful. I challenge y'all to read the Book of Mormon daily. It brings power and protection and an increased amount of the Spirit. I know this to be true.
