There is Sunshine in My Soul Today!

Hi Family and Friends!!!!

This week has been so good! I feel like there's never a spare moment lately. But, it's been so wonderful! I love being busy! The ward has helped us out so much with rides, food, and sharing the gospel.

Some highlights from the week:

Tornado Warning
We were at the church and bolted to our car as it was pouring down. By the time we got to the car it looked like ran under a waterfall. Haha! Well, we had to get home so we started driving. (Really slow and safe. Don't worry mom!) Well, let's just say it was some extreme weather out there. We were talking about all the tornado warnings, lightening storms etc. We decided to warn the member we live with about the roads as they were very wet. So, we called and it was a good thing we did. She told us that there was a tornado warning right now right next to where we live! So, we got home quick and went in the laundry room. We stayed in there with the members family and waited it out. While we did, we studied the scriptures with them. It reminded me of our family scripture study back home. :) It was really cool. We were fine. The storm passed over us really quick! I know we are watched over!

Joy
It's been crazy! I've had a lot of change in the last few weeks. And, a lot of opportunities to grow or stay the same. I decided to take the growth route. And, wow has it been hard. But, I've truly seen a difference in my happiness levels. It's interesting, I really know that joy doesn't come from our circumstances, it comes from living the gospel and trusting in the Lord looking forward with hope. We have had some challenging situations but we have acted in a way where we have turned things over to the Lord. With all the chaos we have been so happy! I know it's because we haven't been discouraged. We've looked forward with hope and trusted in God's plan. I know that this is His work. If it wasn't, then we would just be a mess out here. Haha. I truly am so happy to be a missionary! I've come so much closer to my Heavenly Father out here. My testimony is continually growing. I don't plan on it stopping either. I know that as we use/share our testimony with others, it grows and we are able to help others. As we share our testimony, we are able to have even more joy! I know that this gospel is a joyous gospel. I know this is Jesus Christ's church. What a blessing it is to represent Him for a small moment.

My challenge for y'all this week is to share your testimony with someone. There's many ways for you to do this. It could be by being an example, talking with someone at work, school, posting something on social media, etc. If y'all need help brainstorming ideas there's many on churchofJesusChrist.org .
I know that as you do this individually, and as a family you will all be truly feel the joy that comes by sharing the gospel. I know as you also pray for opportunities to share, they will be given to you. I know this to be true!

I love y'all! I hope you have a blessed week!

Love,
Sister Stone
