Bikes and Blessings

Hi Family and Friends!!!

The weeks seem to fly by! At least, this one did. Here's a few highlights.

Rain
This week we had a few appointments and we didn't have a car. So, we planned our route to walk. We didn't however plan on the weather that came. We started talking to this guy about the gospel and then it started raining. We had one small umbrella and no rain boots... Haha! We ended up talking to this man for about 30 mins about the gospel and he offered us an umbrella to take with us. Southern hospitality is real y'all! So, we continued our journey. Our feet became soaked and a truck splashed Sister Beltran. She tried to defend herself with her umbrella from the tsunami that came. She ended up being soaked. . She's the best! With all the rain, and being soaked we were still so happy!

Biking
This week I found some muscles I didn't know existed or now exist. Haha. With the part-time car we've been doing a lot more walking and biking. Yesterday we biked 10+ miles and walked a few as well. It's actually been a blessing having a bike. It's been hard to schedule things but we've been able to talk to more people. I now really appreciate cars, bikers and sunscreen! It's been quite the adventure! I'm also really grateful that Brother Raphael fixed my bike. The brake wouldn't let up when I rode it so I was constantly fighting to go forward. It was a pain and I couldn't fix it. Well, Brother Raphael helped me out and now I feel like a whole new biker!! Wow, what a difference it makes to not have the brake on the whole time!!!

Temple
This week we were able to go to the temple! It was so wonderful. Sister Beltran's convert went and did baptisms. It was cool to be there and feel the Spirit so strong! I love the temple!

Languages
We've been trying to teach 2 women that speak Spanish and some English and one women that speaks Arabic. We're really grateful for the Spanish speaking missionaries and the Arabic speaking missionaries. They're really helping us out. And technology is great in helping us communicate with those missionaries to help the people we're teaching progress. We're sure blessed.

I've seen so many tender mercies! The members have helped us out so much! We definitely wouldn't be able to work both areas with a part-time car and make it work without the members helping us out! They're great!

My challenge for y'all is to make sure you're "tools" are in working order. We are His tools. We can help this work progress but not with the brake on. :) To be the best tool to help the work, we have to be doing the small things like reading our scriptures and praying individually and as a family. We need to be seeking personal revelation and act on it. As we do these small things, we become a great tool in the work. I know that by "small and simple things do great things come to pass." I know this is God's work and we are His children. He loves us! I love y'all!

Have a blessed week!

Love,
Sister Stone
