Hi Family and Friends!!!
It's been another wonderfully wild week here in the TNM!
Here's a few highlights.
1. MLC
I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Missionary Leadership Council meeting or MLC. We discussed how we can best help our mission become a "lighthouse" mission to guide others unto Christ. It was a really wonderful meeting. I always learn a lot and always am excited to go out and share the trainings with my zone/area.
2. Exchanges
After MLC we had exchanges with the McMinnville hermanas. I was with Hermana Vargas. She is so wonderful. We were able to go out finding and even talk to a lady near our home about the Book of Mormon and leave her with a copy. We were also able to contact a former person that was taught and help him better understand the Book of Mormon. It was a great day.
3. Emergency Room
So yesterday night/this morning my lovely companion and I were at the hospital. Don't worry we are both good! We figured things out and are all good! It was a good opportunity for me to read my scriptures. We also had 2 nurses ask us about why we were in TN. It was a great opportunity to talk about why we're here and how we received our mission call. So, Sister DeGraw told them. It's a blessing to be a full-time missionary. Even at 1 in the morning. :) It was really cool. My companion is good now. Please don't worry!
I've reflected a lot about everything this week. One thing I've realized is how we are led to those that the Lord has prepared when we listen to the Spirit and act. Funny how those two things go together. Sometimes the acting part is hard but when I just do it, I am always blessed. I always have to remember that Heavenly Father knows best. When I trust in Him, I will not go astray and He will lead me through His Spirit. I am so grateful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost in my life. I know He truly is a gift from my Heavenly Father. I think sometimes we don't see Him as a gift. But, we have 2 wonderful gifts. The Savior and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Because of these 2 wonderful members of the Godhead we can make it back to our Heavenly Father. I am so blessed.
My challenge for y'all is to reflect on how the Holy Ghost has helped you in your life. How can you better listen and act on His promptings? Also, reflect on how your faith in Jesus Christ has affected you in your life. How has His Atonement helped you? How can you share these 2 great gifts with those around you? I am continually blessed by my faith in Jesus Christ and the constant influence of the Holy Ghost in my life. I know this is the one and only true church.
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Sister Madeline Stone
