Baptisms and Goals

Hi Family and Friends!!!

I have a new companion!!!! Her name is Sister DeGraw! She's from California and she's SO wonderful! We are getting along great and doing the Lord's work! We also have a new senior missionary couple, The Roberts, joining us here in Fayetteville. They are not proselyting missionaries but are here to strengthen and build up the ward! We are excited to have them! They are great!

As for this week, we had MLC which is the Missionary Leadership Conference in Nashville. We left our apartment at 5am carrying a bike with us. I had an interview with President Stone and then went into our council. It was so great. I had prayed before to be able to receive answers and to be able to help those around me. Well, ALL my questions were answered yet again! Wow! I love this gospel! We discussed the needs of the people in our areas and were able to find solutions and ways to help each other. It was a great meeting! I always love when we council together. It reminds me that we are not alone in the work. I have to share something really cool. So as a mission we have a goal to baptize 350 people by the end of the 2018 year. We are at 223. Well. We just had Elder Bowen visit our mission and tell us that he thinks/wants us to work towards every area baptizing monthly. Right now we are at 223/350. So, there's a 127 gap and 2 months left of the year. Stay with me here. If we take 127 and divide that by the 2 remaining months we have 63.5 so about 64. Guess how many areas there are in the Tennessee Nashville Mission? 64!!! If every area baptizes 1 person in the months of November and December we will have 350/350! I don't think that is a coincidence. There are no coincidences in the Lord's work. Now we don't focus on the numbers. However we use numbers to help us see where we are at and to set goals and see where we are at in our goals. I'm sure happy to help more people enter into the gate of baptism!

We also have a baptism this next week for Eli!!! He's an 8 year old boy we've been teaching. He's so cute!!! He came to church with his grandma and brother this past Sunday and I was so happy to see them!

All in all it was a fanstastic week. We have a few people we're teaching coming to the ward trunk or treat tonight so we're excited to introduce them to more members! Wow! Being a missionary is so wonderful! Love you all so much!!!

My challenge for y'all is to invite someone over to a ward or branch activity with you. Or, invite them over for a Family Home Evening. You could even do both! Now's a great time to show your love for each other and the Savior. Share that love that you have with them. We can all be a light to those around us and help them see the light.

Love y'all! Have a great week!!! And, Happy Halloween!!!

Love,
Sister Stone

All the pictures are of Sister DeGraw and I at different times of the week. We realized we needed some pictures. :)
