Revelation

Hi Family and Friends!!!

This week has been SO great!! I had the opportunity to go finding, receive answers to prayers, share the Book of Mormon with people and so much more. I could just end my email there, but I won't. :)

Here's a few highlights.

1. Sister Fox and I really wanted to find someone that wanted to know more about the gospel and start acting on that knowledge. We are always looking for those people and talking to everyone yet we decided to try things a little differently. Sister Fox and I prayed about where we should go, then we picked a place. We asked Heavenly Father to guide us to those that were ready or to put them in our path. We only had half an hour before an appointment to do this. So, we went out. We both had faith that we would find someone. We parked and immediately both of us pointed to a house and felt that we should start there. We knocked and met a wonderful woman. We started talking to her and found out that she had heard about the church and the Book of Mormon. She had been reading parts of it at a laundromat. We explained it to her, shared a scripture, bore testimony and gave her a copy for herself. We are going back next week to read with her. 

Then, after her we still had about 10 minutes so we tried a few more houses. The third house we tried a mother came out with her daughter. We again explained who we were and the Book of Mormon. She mentioned that they had just moved to Fayetteville and that she really wants to come to a service and let her kids find out what church is true for themselves. We also left them with a copy of the Book of Mormon, and invited them to the ward activity this Friday. They said they'll be there!  It was such a cool experience. It only takes prayers, action and the Holy Ghost to find those souls that are ready to receive the gospel. 

2. I was really searching for a few answers to some questions I had. I hadn't found any answers and was continually praying and searching my scriptures Well, Sister Fox and I went to church and you'll never guess what happened. The two talks in sacrament were on the exact questions I had. I truly believe that we can receive personal revelation through church attendance. If we come to church with a prepared heart, mind, and soul, we will receive our answers. 

My challenge for y'all is to sincerely pray to receive personal revelation. Learn how you receive personal revelation. Attend all 3 hours of church. And prepare your hearts and minds for answers. They will come. I know that as you do this, you will receive more answers and be better prepared to continually receive revelation throughout all aspects of your lives. 

Not much else has happened. We are starting to teach some more people and continue finding. I'm trying to take what I've learned and apply it to the work here. It's working!  The weather has been pretty great. We weren't really affected by the hurricane in the Carolina's like the people thought we would.  My prayers go out to them and the people back home fighting the fires!  

I love this gospel and am so blessed to get to share it with everyone I meet. I am happy everyday that chose to serve and am serving now!
