Small and Simple
Hi Family and Friends!
This week was wonderful! I'm still getting used to this area but it's coming. It is a really great area and ward. The members here are so willing to help us missionaries out. They're really willing to help anyone out.
This week we also had zone conference. It was truly amazing! I had ALL my prayers answered! I wanted to share a few take aways from the conference. We talked a lot about how we don't always see the results from our actions. We do find people to teach that end up getting baptized but we also talk to A LOT of people that we won't see them enter into the waters of baptism. However, we might never see the way we affected them. They compared this to dropping a rock in water. We may be the rock that is dropped into the water. As the rock, we don't see the ripples that come after us. However, they may go extensively farther than we could have imagined, maybe never ending. It was super cool to realize that the small things we do truly matter.

It reminded me of the scripture in Alma 37: 6-7 which states," But behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls." I really loved this. It reminded me that Heavenly Father works with small and simple things. I'm glad He does that as I find I am small and simple. Heavenly Father also uses small acts of kindness or service to further His work.
I love this! The new ministering program uses this principle beautifully as well. We can ALL help others come unto Christ and build upon their relationship with Him. We can do this in small and simple ways.
My challenge for y'all is to do the small things. Reach out to a less active member, smile at church, invite someone to a FHE. The Lord will use us especially as we are small and simple. I know this to be true! We can help ALL of God's children come closer to Him. I know we might not see the affect we have when we do so. But, Heavenly Father will take what we have and increase it. I love this gospel. I love my Savior. I know that this is His work.
Love,
Sister Stone
