MTC Week 1!!!!! Soul Sucker

Hey mom, and family!!! 

I hope AJ had a fun skii trip!! And how did Sadie do on tour? I loved the pictures you all sent, and the cinnamon rolls!!!!! My fellow sisters and I loved those!!!! 

So this week has been really amazing!!! Yeah it was hard to say goodbye to my family, especially when mom cried...why did you have to cry mom!!! However, the first day was amazing! Everyone here is so kind and willing to help you out. However, we didn't even unpack until 10:30 because we went straight to class and to work.  

From the moment I got to the MTC I have been nonstop working! It's super busy! Something cool was that when I was feeling kind of down, I saw my good friend from home Elder Wright!! I got to talk to him for a bit and that was a blessing! 

Mom you'll be happy to hear that I wake up at 5:40 every morning to run with Sister Fielding and Sister Stowell!! Hopefully this will help me stay fit both physically and mentally. 

Also, my companion, Sister Huber is amazing! She's from Alberta Canada and she talks so cute!! Really the only sad thing is I can't play soccer here... but it's okay because we have volleyball, basketball, and a track.

 

I also met my Branch President! President Samuelin literally is so in tune with the spirit! I felt like he read right into my soul! He's the soul sucker! He spoke to us and the spirit was so strong. He gave each of us girls a blessing and it was just what I needed! I want to be like him in the sense that he is so aware of what God's will is for him and is always listening and teaching by the spirit. 

I also had the opportunity to start learning how to teach people and help them gain more faith. A great way to gain more faith is by reading the book of mormon with a purpose. I felt like before my mission I was fairly comfortable with the Book of Mormon however this week I have started asking questions and praying before I read. It has been the best thing I have done so far. By asking specific questions with an open heart and mind to learn, I have found every single answer. Heavenly Father knows all of us! He knows our questions and if we simply pray and ask those questions, He will answer us! So if you're not asking questions or reading the Book of Mormon with a purpose, start now!!!! I testify that if you do this, not only will you find your answers, but you will also find peace and joy in your everyday life! 

 

Also read 2 Nephi 22:2! It is such a great scripture! I know that there is no better place I could be at right now! I grow every day and feel peace every moment! Trust in the Lord and His will! Put God first, and everything else will work out! I know that my Savior loves me and each of us! This gospel in every aspect is true!

I love you all and love to read your emails! Also, I can read emails every day, I just can't email back until Saturdays! So, if you send me pictures, or emails I can see and read them every night!!
